Summer Day Camp

  • One of the most popular in the area, our Summer Camp for children who have finished Kindergarten through the age of 12 runs weekdays from 6:30am to 6:00pm for nine weeks between June and August.

     A TYPICAL DAY

Campers are provided with a daily nutritious breakfast, lunch and snack, and enjoy enrichment classes in STEM, nutrition and cooking, literacy, and other areas. We offer daily recreation opportunities on-site and in our community, including swimming once per week. (PC retains a lifeguard certified in water safety to help supervise students on water-based trips.)

On a weekly basis, children enjoy outings to local sports, arts, cultural, and recreational venues, courtesy of the Tickets for Kids Foundation. Past special activities have included rock climbing, kayaking, and a trip to Idlewild and Soak Zone. We continue our partnerships with Venture Outdoors and Reading is Fundamental throughout the summer, and bring in organizations such as the Stop Now and Plan program and the Carnegie Science Center to supplement our curriculum.

🍎 Our 412 Food Rescue student volunteers are at it again! 🥦

Every Thursday this summer, campers will help prep produce donations to be taken home by families in need.

In addition to being a meaningful service opportunity, sorting the produce also exposes kids to foods they havent tried before or dont eat often. Today, students took home grapes, cucumbers, radishes, mushrooms, and hot peppers for their efforts.
